Kage

I was born in Naples and I started drawing graffiti in 1996. I’ve always had a strong passion for drawing but the excitement for graffiti and the evolution of lettering totally changed my taste and interest on paint. The only thing I loved was designing letters.

For a little boy coming from the suburbs it wasn’t easy to approach this world. I used to walk around with the sketchbook in my backpack going through the odyssey of buses and long walks to meet other writers at Piazza del Gesù, our meeting place in the center of Naples.

We had the opportunity to compare each other’s, to share ideas and to watch some fanzines that at that time were really rare to find.
After a long time tagging ‘’Kage’’, I started writing my first name, Enzo. Now I use this tag in most of my works.

Graffiti has become part and parcel of my life. Those gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of people that I respect beyond their artistic value.

Wow! That is some kind of extraordinary way of drawing! I’m an admirer wishing I could even come close to that. I started liking graffiti drawings since I was in high school. I have a different style and nothing close to yours. Yours are not just lettering but you can also draw images. I’m strictly lettering. You have quite a vision! And all these are on the walls. I’ve only drawn on papers. I wish I can bite some of your style. I like how you make the letters in 3D visual. Very impressive. You’re damn good! I mean, really good. Thanks for sharing.
