Fisek

I was born in Santiago, Chile and I’ve been painting graffiti since 1995 (self taught). My biggest influence is wildstyle which is to decorate a name with arrows and abstract forms, boldened by a combination of colors that define your style and main message, giving it attitude. This manner of expressing my tag has been a constant in my work, in everything from a simple logo to a canvas transfer, consistency being the main form of evolution of my style.

My attraction for graffiti came from music videos from 90s rap groups. We didn't receive much info about graff in Chile at that time so I had to pause rap videos and copy the letters haha. It kinda sucked cause they were in low resolution.

I split my time between my job as a graphic art designer and doing graffiti. Thanks to this, I’ve been able to travel to many places around the world, leaving my style on the walls in each one…some places include: New York, L.A. California, Paris, Barcelona, Seville, Copenhagen, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Río de Janeiro, Lima, among others. I’ve also hit up many cities in Chile.

Evolution is something I've always represented through my dynamic wild styles and the various ways of writing my name that preserve my characteristical/stylistic trademark.

Another facet of my activity (one that has been possible thanks to being a mix between a graphic art designer and a graffiti artist) is that it has allowed me to work with different international brands and show my style, some of them are: New era, Spalding, Redbull, Adidas, Nike SB, and Phillips.

New York styles still influence me. It's the base of everything, it's originality in the form of letters. They gave personality to a name, they evolved this personal expression on trains.
I particularly remember a trip to New York in the year 2000 and we went on train bombing missions, climbing down towards the tracks using a rope just to get into the Brooklyn tunnels in the dead of winter! It was a cool adventure, we succeeded but then I ended up with some legal problems hahaha it's just part of the game.
My biggest ambition is to continue painting until the end of my days!
